My lesson for the day:

Some people have the opposite mindset to me, so better start stocking up on chocolate.

Thanks to Arzosah's recommendation - it may of taken me a few months, but I finally got round to it.
Excellent! I feel a lot more secure having mine around, I must say.

I did this a while back in preparation for my current unemployment. Now I have a silly amount of chocolate in the cupboard, I've actually lost some of my sweet tooth! At least it means the chocolate will last even longer :)

Did some bike fettling yesterday and went out on it for the first time in about 9 months earlier today. Cycling round here is so different to cycling in London. Safer obviously, but also one has to cycle longer in one go because there's not so many traffic lights to have to stop at! My legs are so tired now and I'm feeling decidedly asthmatic so that's my next prep - to get a heck of a lot fitter. Last week I was walking between 2 and 5 miles a day to get into the swing of things, but I need to step up the aerobic exercise to strengthen my lungs.

Got myself a cheap £5 camping kettle as it struck me that apart from the electric kettle, i didn't have one for indoors on the gas or alcohol stoves. Also i realized that i could place it on top of the kelley kettle pot stand and get another 2 L of water heated by the same stock of fuel thus meaning I could have 3 and 1/2 L of hot water instead of just 1 and 1/2.

I thought My Karma would be high after making up some good will boxes today:

Unfortunately my other purchase exploded on me:

The tap bust just as the level reached 90 out of the 100 Litre capacity :o

Straight back to the shop for a refund on that one

I'll try for another one next week :D

Enough for two full washing up loads or enough for a complete body wash using a basin of hot water and that includes hair washing or enough for maybe 12 mugs of tea approximately (depending on mug size and how much you dilute it wit h cold water or milk after having adding the boiling water) OR enough hot water to do heat retention cooking for a group of four or more.

So, yea, actually quite impressive.
