Deep Winter

Post by Cougar »

A quick review. I would recommend this as a good read, it is set in the US immediately after a big quake. Whilst American it is not heavily focussed on guns there is far more about farming.
This is the first book in trilogy written by Thomas Sherry and has some good ideas, I will say that it doesnt just stop at a single disaster as they tell the story of a domino effect but I wont give the plot away.
Personally I am enjoying these more than the 299 days series and they are certainly better value being longer. So I give this a thumbs up. :D

Finding it hard to put down. Definitely shouts for preppers but so far it isn't at all silly.

I'm now on book 3. Book 2 is really a continuation of book 1, but book 3 for the most part very different, I wont give away the plot as quite a few have begun reading them but book 3 is not so focused on prepping.

Now finished book 3. My advice stop at the end of book 2 :)
