Cheap Sugar.

Post by Brambles »

Our local Poundland has started selling 1.5kg bags of Whitworths sugar again, for (wait for it) £1! that works out at a little under 67p a kilo
The cheapest I have found 1kg bags of sugar is Lidl at 85p. So there's a saving of 18p.
Buying a bag or two whenever I'm in there has resulted in a nice little stack ready for preserving and stuff. :D

You may find they are 1.2 kg(I may be wrong) I picked some up for me brewing on Wednesday. Definitely 1.2 kg. Still good value though!

Mine were from poundland-perhaps older stock? Anyhow, I'll get in there. Thanks for spotting that.

Haven't had the chance to check my local Poundland, but in Poundstretchers today I found Whitworth's 1kg bags of sugar for 79p or 2 for £1.50 (making it 75p per kilo). Not as great a saving as Poundland, but still good if Poundstretchers is what's near you.
