i have a zx10r fast as fuk but have to let the family fend for them selves, although selling bike parts is my job i would not tell my worst enemy to use a bike as a bov!!!!

why would a bike not be suitable for one person,a good set of panniers you can carry a lot of equipment ask people who have toured europe on them,you would not use a zx10 or any similar sport/race bike it would like using a 2 seater sports car,
as i said before there are many pros and cons to any vehicle you would use the one good thing with a bike is you can hide a lot easier then most vehicles and you would not get stuck in traffic jams,there are many cons too

I like the idea of a bike to get to a BOL, fast and good through heavy traffic, excellent for a2b.

A small tip to people who fancy getting one as a BOV. Get some CCTV up and as many locks on it as possible. Mines got stolen last night. #gutted

Mythbusters proved this doesn't really work, generally it just snaps the stick. But as a rider myself, I can say that it takes quite a bit to get a rider off a bike.
At the moment I have 650 single cylinder thumper with a straight through exhaust, very loud. I'm going to be looking for something quieter.

Glad someone said about the trailer, can also leave the trailer netted/camo'd when recon is needed. We ride but also have a trike, enough for five adults seated with a large storage box but also have trailers, limits are endless as all have good and bad points. I have to say I'm a big fan of the BMW's like K series and other tourers, have loaded them up and taken all over the country be surprised how much you can carry and that's not including the 120ltr burgen on the pillion seat lol.

As for the 125's can go far wrong apart from a little lack or power depending on how much weight ye carrying including rider, but no one's mentioned that even if not to strong with a little rigging a small bike can easily be mounted onto a 4x4.

I think a small motorcycle has its uses in certain scenarios (mainly post-event in my case though).

I'll have to add getting my trail bike working and road worthy again to my TODO list
