was wandering around poundland and found this emergency survival shelter for £1. Its made of mylar and feels very light but quite strong, might be worth having one in the backpack or back of the car.
I have done a quick video review on youtube
I dont think you can really knock what you get for a pound .
£1 Survival Shelter From Poundland
Re: £1 Survival Shelter From Poundland
They are strong. I've used one to make a spaceship in my classroom!

Thanks for the review.
I threw a couple into my Good Will boxes.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

It brings to mind a question I've been pondering, if you place something shiny (like that shelter, space blanket or even tinfoil) on a wall behind your plants, does it improve the plants' growth significantly enough to be worth the hassle?
Re: £1 Survival Shelter From Poundland
Depending on the angle of sun to the garden yes but may also over do it and burn the leaves
Re: £1 Survival Shelter From Poundland
I have one in the car-been in my little kit for ages. When we used to travel to rural Lincolnshire all times of year, I thought it would be good as a 'Bothy Bag'for those on the back seat in case of breakdown in Mid Winter.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.
