Small powerful torch?

I'm looking to reduce the size of my EDC, and am planning to replace many items with smaller or alternative versions.

Can anyone recommend a small but fairly powerful LED torch? I currently carry an LED Lenser 'Police Tech Focus', but am looking for something of a similar design but maybe half the size. Any ideas, before I start my Google fest?

Depending on your budget, I don't think you can beat a Zebralight SC52. Tiny, 1AA battery brightness beasty.

A lot of good models out there, but mostly too big from what I see.

Hello. Having bought and used expensive torches for work I found that they all broke down eventually. I now have several tesco led torches. They are small and as well built as anything else I have used. They do a small chubby one for around £5 and a longer thinner one for £10, both work very well for the price.

Led Lenser , any of them , quality stuff , never had a problem , apart form loosing them but that aint the torches fault .......

I also recommend LED Lensers. I have a P3 which is really bright for the size. Only takes 1AA.
If you want a bright but cheap torch, I recommend some of the cheap Cree torches floating about eBay/Amazon, like this one...

I would NOT recommend the Gerber Recon! It is small and reasonably cheap, but it has no power at all.

If you have an aldi near by check out there led torches they have three settings very bright bright and sos about £8 and very good about 100 to 115mm variable focus with small pouch they are not always in stock normally on special
