Compiling a list of survival novel recommendations

I had never head of goodreads.com until I read that Amazon and bought them or something, but the web site has some good search options with genres for apocalyptic and post apocalyptic. It is quite a frustrating site to use though and the iApp is a big disappointment. I did also buy the first part of Final Dawn on the recommendation of goodreads, so I will soon find out if that is any good.......

One Second After is a 2009 fiction novel by American writer William R. Forstchen

I think that's a great novel about a post social collapse.

One Second After is a great book, a proper novel, not just a list of guns and ranting.

Last Light is the same, excellent book.

Lucifer's Hammer - old school SF, and absolutely brilliant.

Anything by John Wyndham except Chocky, which isn't teotwawki. He's terribly gentlemanly, tho.

Couple of Jerry Young's are particularly good - Disaster in the Burbs, Conspicuous Consumption.

For me, it has to be Day Of The Triffids by John Wyndham. Then The Death Of Grass by John Christopher. Lastly , The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
There are many more of course,all worthy of a read.
