Re: Looking for good knives
One of the best ones I've seen for the money is a 6.5" blade (probably 10.5" over all), fixed blade full tang survival knife it's called "extreme survival knife" and it's by a company called "schrade" -I think, not 100% on the spelling tho. I got mine from 'blades n bows' for about £25, it's a solid heavy built knife and comes with a strong cammo sheath and small sharpening stone. Pretty much unbeatable for the money in my opinion and it can take a hell of a beating
Prepare- Because dieing is for amateurs.

Yep its my Gerber Prodigy feels very solid in the hand but has sat in my drawer unused since I bought it, and TBH I would not have bought it if I had got my £14 mora first, its a gorgeous bit of kit but cant see me using it, I just fondle it occasionally

I am the same, I have paid out lots for knifes and the only one's I use are my mora clipper for bushcraft (has a carbon steel blade which holds a grate edge and only costs £9.99) and a little spyderco bug on my keys. I think what it comes down to is what do you feel comfortable carrying.tanstaafl wrote:tanstaafl wrote:Madsquad wrote:that a nice one in the picture what one is that the gerber?

I got a Mora too, for £13 from amazon, you can't go wrong with it. Cheap, durable. I've even chopped wood with it for the woodburner. Using it for fishing, camping.
