hi all
i am from the west midlands and am a new prepper
my idea is if SHTF is to go to the welsh mountains probably on foot or at least most of the way and live off the land there are springs and woodland with plenty of wildlife to catch if needed.
i feel a civil war or some sort of civil unrest is about to kick off if not a natural disaster the way the planet is starting to react.
i was wondering where should i start, i don't have much money to buy big back packs and loads of gear so need things on the cheap.
any advice would be welcome
new prepper

Hello and welcome to the Forum.
Find yourself a good Army Surplus Store and spend a couple of weekends trying on gear and clothing before buying.
Anchor Supplies
RTI Military Surplus
Endicotts
They all get my vote.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
Re: new prepper
Welcome!
Don't worry you are like most of us having little funds!
Best thing to do IMHO is list:
a) what scenarios you are prepping for
b) work out what you need
c) check what you have already
d) a plan of bug out routes, locations and options
e) a list of things to get priced up and in priority order
f) check what can be got for free / improvised / obtained for free in some cases
The forums here help a great deal and give you good ideas.
Start small and build up gradually as funds allow - it soon builds up!
Best of luck!

hello and welcome to the forum
there are a few basics you will have to look at ! food, water, shelter, heating, lighting and security . the main two are food and water , a few extra tins when you do a shop will soon add up

hi and welcome .
i don`t want to poke holes in your plan ,
my idea is if SHTF is to go to the welsh mountains probably on foot or at least most of the way and live off the land there are springs and woodland with plenty of wildlife to catch if needed.
how many people do you think have the same idea , i know i have .
what you need is a plan B AND plan C . there are limited resources in this country and given the amount of people they most likely wont last to long . harvesting from nature needs to be managed or you run the risk of wiping out your supply for next year .
