DIY Potato planter

Post by piglet »

Lots has been said about growing potatoes on here, but I thought I would just share this link.
I liked the simple idea that you can remove the different layers of boards to access the potatoes without having to pull the entire plant.

I know some people have used old Tyres for planters so maybe worth considering the comments regarding the use of Tyres, and make up your own minds about the possible pro's and con's.

Yup, been growing mine in the back yard the last 2 years in a similar way. Plan to raise productivity at the allotment by doing similar - but in larger numbers - next year.
