creating a team

Post by Dragonzen »

Hi to all I'm in the rossendale valley about 20 miles north of manchester and looking to join forces and to create a network of friends so when the shtf we can come together and survive as a unit. I'm skilled in security with my martial arts and military style training over 23 years experience in cqc. anyone interested in joining forces and going out in the field i want to hear from you

Hi,

You've already stated the above in your intro post in March:

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

I've seen this sort of hopeful post before, good luck with that, but if you're serious the get stuck in and interact here big time first, you/we all have to cross the bridge between complete strangers and friends who would be able/willing to rely on one another, it's hard work online but it's where it begins, I can tell you I've met people here not a mile from me geographically yet poles apart IRL.
In some ways I am feeling it may be better to prep for yourself and friends and family nearby, regardless of whether they are joining in or not, long term getting as many on board and like minded may be ideal but what to do right here right now?
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

i have a varied opinion on this while i can understand where plymtom is coming from surely its better to meet people before the shtf then after, at least you will know if you are the same wave length and can just walk away with no problems if they are not you may not have that option when the shtf,
regarding family and friends you do all the preps and then they just come and eat you out of house and home not sure about that,i would rather have a network of preps all on the same wave length ,please remember just because you put on a few posts on a internet forum it does not mean who they really are in real life you only find that when you meet face to face and get to know them.
my advice would be go for it and just be very careful

I think he means this is a good place to find people, you can then meet them later and decide if you get along IRL.
