Alright folks, any chemistry experts out there?
For reasons I'll not go into I have a reasonable supply of 'lab equipment' including milipore filters and BA at home that im thinking could be effective for water purification?
The filters make sense - they could easily be set up to drip filter water between containers but ive been wondering if the BA at a concentration of something like 1% would be safe? I know the stuff is approved for use in foodstuffs but im not clever enough to figure out at what levels...
Can anyone help?

Do you know the pore size of the filters ?
If it was me, I'd rather be taking stuff out of my drinking water then putting it in.
However, my brother studied Bio-Chemistry so I'll ask him about BA

Its been a while since they've been out of the cupboard but 45 micron springs to mind?
What got me thinking was reading somewhere about using bleach to purify water.... I thought BA sounded preferable.
Cool, thanks 8)

45 microns is huge !!
My filter is rated at 0.4 microns absolute

Other thing to remember is bleach breaks down over time....Not sure if BA does or what it becomes
