A sail boat has solar powered electric appliances
Plenty of water to purify
And fish to catch to eat
Less chance of people attacking u
Just bad weather and rough seas to fight
MMM maybe not such a good idea x lol
I'm still trying to think if I should stay put or move my family
A boat as a bug out
Re: A boat as a bug out
you being closer than me , have you considered hilbre island just of the shore line at wirral safe at high tide and you can walk to it at low water . i know its a nature reserve before any one shouts
YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .
Re: A boat as a bug out
I think Hilbre would draw people like a magnet! If I was in a heavily populated area near water, I'd seriously consider a boat as a BOL. However, remember the number of shipwrecks in Liverpool Bay alone, never mind the Irish Sea. We wouldn't be talking a dinghy ... unless you like being on the water (or you've won the lottery) I'd be wary - have a boating holiday first, maybe. At least.
