Hi all, thaught I would share this link, I fitted one to my car about a year ago and it is absolutly brilliant.
I looked into them for a long time before bying one, i even tryed to build one.
Even though the one i made did kind of work it was not as efficient as the one i bought.
i didn't know such things were available , am i right in understanding that it can be retro fitted to any car ? did they fit it for you? where are they based?
i looked in to this a few years ago , when things were relatively new .
i spoke to a friend of mine who`s a auto gas installer , he said at the time would you drive round with a bomb under the bonnet , that put me off the idea .
now things have come along way since then so i might look at it again .
google brown gas if your interested in looking in to it further .
YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .
I was unsure if they actually worked and whether the gas was ok for the engine itself. I heard that the energy that it takes from the alternator was provided by the fuel you burned, so it was either a zero gain or a total energy loss, unless you used a thermoelectric generator attached to the exhaust to add power to make the gas through electrolysis so that you would be able to use that energy to power the car. Is it just fuel savings you are trying to make or is it lowering noise and emissions?
What benefits are you trying to get from it? And have you considered alternative energy sources to the car battery and alternator to provide the power for the electrolysis?
have you got a method of measuring energy savings?

Hi. the power for the unit is govend by a smart realay as they call it, it guarentees that you will not run the battery down. most cars now waste energy so its more like utalising waste energy. The kits are easy to install, it took me about 1 hour to fit and about 20 min to make it look pritty.
I had the unit for MPG more than anything but the extra little power is nice, and as for emissions its always nice to know your doing a little something to help.

Yes you are right thay can be fitted to any car, there are even smaller units to fit motorbikes (my next investment maybe).
The compony is based in llanelli, south wales but if your fitting your own like I did thay just post it out.
