My Multi Fuel Burner

Post by NorthernWoody »

Got installed yesterday. We can't light it until Saturday but I am already in love with it!

Have wood stocked, more being delivered next week and topping up coal ready for winter.

I think I might go off and do a little happy dance!

Mine's an Esse 100, a multifuel stove, but not for heating water, though there are models available to do that.

There is room on top for a small kettle and pot if the power goes off.

thermoelectric fans are worth looking at, self powering they spread warm air around your room.

I'm burning smokeless fuel more than wood these days, much easier to store a full winters needs.

You will not regret the installation of your stove(s) guys. Had mine in ten -odd years, and it keeps you warm and makes you smug. 'Cos you are independent and your fuel is already paid for!
You will have to have a play to see how *your* stove/chimney set-up pulls.

Remember to keep the chimney swept-every year, NO exceptions, and you will be happy campers. :D

If you burn soft woods like pine or old pallets you need to check your flue twice a year for tar build up. Personally I only burn hard woods.
