if you want cheap you can go for something like an smk xs78, about £95 new and although they arnt great out of the box, they are very easy to tune and get up to the legal limit for power and can be very accurate too and doesnt take much work

I have crossbow pistol and and have a list of weapons to obtain including a sword, paint weapons and air guns.
No plans to hunt with anything though, they would purely be used in self-defence and as a deterrent though I suppose hunting might have to happen considering we have 3 full time carnivores in my house!

I personally like the takedown precharged. Expensive but can go in a little bag and very quiet. I have a 12l dive bottle which will last a good while but also have a manual pump in case i can't get air. I also have a weihrauch springer if that fails. Have a pistol bow and full size bow also and a range of knives and machettes, couple of axes etc so hunting should be made a little easier.

Just to remind you that anything you discuss must be kept within the perimeters of the current legal system and as such what you are proposing is not within those laws.
Of course if you are planning to take up paintballing as a hobby or be part of an reinactment society that uses swords, well, that's a different matter altogether.
Remember, the 'boss' could get into trouble for discussions that happen on here!

Lazarus I would consider the secondhand market and go for a "known" brand such as BSA! Weihrauch, etc. Try the classifieds on guntrader, airgunBBS etc.

Definitely get more 'bang for your buck' if you go down the second hand route,
If it were me I'd be looking at a BSA meteor, good solid guns
and you could easily pick one up in that price range. :)

I said in that post I had no intention of actually using them on anybody, humans and non-humans. I've always like weapons (medieval especially but more recently guns) and always wanted to collect them but using would be a completely different matter so I would need to seek local groups that provide training or make some kind of shooting range on my private property (depending on what it's for e.g. air gun/ full sized crossbow) which I kinda need to do as my crossbow bolts are being shredded with a wood target.... and I ran out of them because of it too  Solid blocks of wood are not advisable targets for 6.5 inch bolts... unless you want to play the 'pull the bolt head out the wood and reattach it without damaging it too much' game.
