Solar panels 2 is 1, 1 is none?

Post by Cougar »

Do I go for a 150w panel for a new 12v system or 2 x 80w on the basis that if one panel fails I will still have some energy capability?
Thoughts welcome.

IMHO go for the 2, that way if one breaks you have only got to replace one.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Thanks all for the responses, backs up my thinking.

P.s. as per pseudo's response the 2 is 1, 1 is none has been a prepper guide for a long time
