Got a massive bargain this week. basket full of battery's reduced to 20p/30p in asda all sizes, mrs went white when i picked up the entire thing. muhahaha
Also this week i am on a pound shop mission to get and compile a list of pound shop preps for those budget preppers. (all items will be tested fully to ensure its a £1 well spent.)

Had a busy day, plucked and gutted 2 geese, 4 ducks and 3 rabbits. cooked one goose (no pun intended) for tea and froze the rest. hard work, not the nicest of jobs but very satisfying to see all that meat for nothing. Went to tescos and bought extra 2x 3ltr cooking oil, 5kg sugar, 12 tins soup, 12 t.rolls 2kg raisins, 9kg flour & 8cans of tuna to add to prep stores as I found myself with a little extra money and thought it the best use of it.

Sittin' in the livin' room, viewing Top Gear, in front of a toasty woodstove(burning FREE wood) drinking homebrewed Pinot Grigio.

Just had a dental appointment and am steeling myself for the 15th of November when I am going to have the first prosthetic dental appointment and actually get me some good looking gnashers for a change. It will be great to have teeth again, but I have this problem in that I cant open my mouth that wide for a long period of time so even a short checkup and clean is painful for me. a lengthy dental procedure will be hell. And this isn't the last one I will be having.
Anyway, if I am successful in my internet dating I will still be able to say that I have all my own teeth as I will have paid for them myself (with some help from the NHS, but over £200 per prosthadontic session is still pricy)!

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Well, I was going on an internet date but I'm thinking twice about it now....
Just kidding.
I was in B&Q's plumbing section yesterday and noticed they have some low cost 50mm diameter guttering downpipes so this week I'm planning on building the first flush rainwater filter system that I've been designing in my head for ages.

I recently experienced Plymouth City centre so that's why I prep.

Briggs,
When you get your plan(s) in place, can you post them please - I have been thinking about something similar, to put rainwater to use, in the veg. plot.
Thanks.
