So I started to prepare!

Post by i11matic1795 »

Hey guys,

I've been a lurker on here for a year or so, always interested in prepping but I've never really had the money or motivation, now I've got both and started on my food stores tonight, I know it's not much, but it came to under £5, and that was my aims.

What do you guys think? Obviously it's not really things I can put together, but I was aiming of a mix of foods, and I'm planning to buy about this amount per week, £5 a week isn't really a noticeable loss, but I'm really happy with the speed that my stores could increase from it.

Thanks,

Paddy!

Good start. I but a lot of value stuff for stores (always try it first before buying too much, no good having something that tastes nasty!)

Look for BOGOF's too.

If you have the time look in poundshops, B&Mstores as they always have a mixed selection of food stuffs.

And as they say, every little helps!

Low nutritional foods re actually good. about £7.50 can get you 50 tins of potatoes from tesco too.

But it might also be a goo idea to think about your vitamins and minerals too. i am gonna do Vitamin D big time this winter to keep the immune system on track.

Nice start.:)

Keep it going, it'll soon add up.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

"Thats the way to do it" (imagine a parrot voice there!).

I use Value and Basics stuff all the time - if you want long term protein in there, think about little tins of fish in oil or tomato sauce, and bags of nuts and seeds.

Well done we all started somewhere keep up the good work, the main thing is DO WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD, prepping is great but you still have to live day to day.

Slow and steady is definitely the best way to approach it.
