Anyone made cheddar before? I have made goats cheese once ..... Its a smelly business lol .... I'm slowly headed towards my dream early retirement ... Little holding some woods ...and a stream running through it ... Oops off track the reason I ask is I plan on a tiny herd of mini milkers! ..... (If you don't know google it I don't want to spoil the surprise!)
And cheese has to be something I make.....and to bring it all back to the topic of this string ..... Waxed cheese of course lol

There seems to be a H U G E range of opinion as to how long this kind of cheese would be shelf-stable. Anything from 1-15 yrs!!!!

But I have one teen and one just past teen ..... And they do seem to get lazy days in bed!!!!

Cheese isnt matured in a fridge....and we can buy. Very mature cheese! Lol ......so why is all supermarket cheese found in the fridge?
In Portugal you buy it off the shelf!
Does anyone know why its only available refrigerated here?
