Hello there

Post by ShtfSherlock »

Hello everyone, my name is Martyn, or ShtfSherlock, either or :)

I found this lovely little site about 2 months ago by literally googling UK prepping.

I currently reside in the east of England , and got into prepping ( the idea of it at least) roughly around 6 months ago, I only recently started prepping however.

I am looking forward to accessing a vast amount of prepping knowledge , so that's me, hi! :D

Hi Martyn!

What SHTF scenario are you prepping for?

Me? Generally, a slow fall - a gradual decline in living standards and increase in prices. Specifically, the health and security of my partner and 2 sons.

Short term: I'm prepping for sudden changes, for example extreme weather, power outages, things like that. The county I live in had 2 inches of snow and everyone lost it. I'm determined not to be one of the ones losing it immediately (madness comes later :) )

Long term: I'm edging towards economic collapse at the moment Hobo, although the decrease in living standards you mentioned is at the back of my mind.
