OK, Decided to try this today, which is part of my sunday prepping practice. I bought a cake/loaf tin from poundland (£1) 18cm diameter Ter-cot Flower pot 75p and 25cm diameter ter-cot flower pot 1.25 both from B&Q.
And follow the instructions on the video and yes works really well, certainly pumping out a fair amount of heat.
I know some on this site think its old news and have been following the same principle in other ways for years, but for someone like me new to this sort of stuff, i am pretty chuffed that such a simple exercise like this works.

a think a gas camping heater has more heat output but then it comes at a bigger expense. The tealights i used i purchased from tesco, burn time on packaging state average 3.5hr burn time, they did last just over 4 hours. And after they went out the terracotta pots retained a fair amount of heat for a while after

I think this looks great - I've tried the baking tray over the tea lights before to radiate heat and that WAS good but I think that this could cure my freezing bathroom problem for the price of some wax ......
I use a garden lantern (about a foot high) a pillar candle or two, and a terra-cotta pot over it. It takes the chill off a cold room, and could probably heat a small room, if you had two of them burning 24/7.

ok i like this idea but im not likeing it all balanced up like that with cats n kids running wild.... soooo im gonna have a look if there is anyway i can botch this in to a more solid reusable structure, but not for the price people are trying to charge online. . will get back to y'all.

It is surprisingly stable to be honest, I know you can get proper square tins which also may be of use, it would be handy though is people could share other methods of heating their homes without having to purposely go out and buy parts as i am making a serious attempt not to use the heating so much this winter as my bills are stupidly high for a single woman who lives alone and works full time so not always home.
