Greetings from Denmark

Post by Werecat »

Hi all.

I've been a casual lurker (not registered) in here since august. I guess that i've always been prepping a bit, even before i heard of the term. Never really got around to making a BOB, but i've been buying/finding/keeping useful items 'just in case' forever.

I really dont have a TEOFTWAWKI scenario, though i always have had some extra cash in my wallet (now with my keys thanks to this forum ;) ), and sleeps better at night knowing that i've got enough food, water and fuel to keep me and my GF safe for a little week. She BTW thinks that preppers are gun toting loonies :tinfoil , so i'm a "closet prepper".

Besides being a closet prepper, i spend my time hiking, shooting (not hunting though) and .... well tbh computer games :D

Hello and welcome.

It's a good feeling knowing you are just a little bit prepared!

Hello and Welcome to the forum.

As much as I love the Lake District I would love to go hiking and camping in parts of mainland Europe like Denmark. Do you have many big predators you have to take precautions for in Denmark? We don't really have any Wildlife in the UK that we have to take precautions for.

What's the main things you feel you need to prep for?

Hi and welcome! Pleased to have you on board. What do you shoot? (weapons more than shoot at!)

No large predators in Denmark (though there was a media-hype about an alleged wolf last winter). Denmark is very flat (highest point 172,5 m), so no mountains... sadly.

Mainly cal. 22 (cheap ammo) pistols, but also .223 (free ammo) rifle (diemacoC7A1/m16 clone) in the danish TA. Oh and of course my .177 air rifle (just for plinking).
