Hello from east sussex

Post by m89r »

Hi all.
Im from the south east coast, started looking into prepping when i was stuck in the snow for 12 hours rather hungry and thirsty. Since then i found myself watching various prepping shows, recently however iv watched both the uk and us version of what would happen during an extended power cut and became concerned id be once again hungry and cold for a lot longer than 12 hours.
Also i am an electrician and know first hand what peoples reaction to having no power is, and due to the impending problems faced by all with regards to large bills and ageing power production and distribution networks im quite keen to make sure me and my family will be alright

Hello and welcome,
There's nothing like a small problem to get you thinking about prepping...

haha, no uk. it took so long due to the number of cars that had been abandoned run out of fuel or broke down.

It was an eye opener of just how quickly a simple situation can get quite out of hand and descend into madness.

Thanks for all the welcome messages :)

yeah, I think I found the back of that queue, and simply turned around and went back to the nearest pub.
