Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Been a while since I've been on here... not sure where the time goes! Had the chimney seep round yesterday - swept out the chimney of an open fireplace in the dining room. We haven't used it since we moved in, but now it's swept and we have a small log store it will be a great source of heat if we get problems this winter. That and we'll be able to have an open fire at Christmas of course! :D

Well mrs oldtreelady and myself stocked our prep cupboard with trays of beans, toms, evaporated milk and dry goods of rice, pasta and pulses from lidl and saved at least nine pound in multi buys and just cheaper food :D

Good tip on butterfly strips, thanks junmist.

Like oldarborman, I'm stocking up at the mo, and also rationalising supplies - the cupboards are arranged quite intricately  to make the best possible use of the space, and unless I keep up to date with it, everything becomes an unholy mess.

And I've lost my super-duper water filter. I've gradually been turning the house upside down looking for it - its little, but it cost just over £100, and I simply can't find it. Have I thrown it out thinking it was an empty box? Unlikely, because I flatten boxes, I'd have found it. The last place I can think of to look is the airing cupboard, which needs to be tidied up anyway
