Welcome NG - care to say a bit more about what you're prepping for, what you want to focus on now?

Good morning, thanks for the welcome.Arzosah wrote:Welcome NG - care to say a bit more about what you're prepping for, what you want to focus on now?
What am I prepping for, it's a good question, I'm not sure I know myself, there's so many SHTF scenarios at the minute. I've always had a feeling that I need to be pro active in this area however; I suppose I do worry about the ongoing financial situation, I read a lot and have read some interesting books such as Fiat Paper Money; the History and Evolution of Our Currency which offers very interesting insights into paper based money situations and there 'lifespan'! I do wonder if we're at the cusp of some collapse.
I do also just like the feeling of knowing I am doing something, rather than waiting for if and when something happens, thinking bugger, wish I'd prepped!
What are your concerns? Is there a general consensus of the forum about what could happen? - Ive not had a chance to have a good read through yet.
Best,
NG

Greetings and welcome. Now that you ask I'm not sure there is a consensus to be fair. I think everyone has different needs. I know that we are preparing for electricity/utility shortages so are stocking up on water and food first. Then meds, then long term meds, then sustainable food/water for longer term and so on.

Yes what you say is definitely where my attention is focused, of all the calamities that may or may not strike, I agree, energy supply and utilities could be a contender. I love prepping as strange as that sounds, being in the minority is reassuring, I really am just running out of room!
