Pretty much anything I guess can be used as barter, but for me the priority would always be

Tobacco
Alcohol

These'll probably be in short supply after a SHTF situation. I don't smoke myself, but I like a drink. As someone already said - doesn't have to be top brand stuff, just cheap own-make vodka, gin etc. Cheapo cigs (Mayfair I seem to remember from my smoking days? )

Someone mentioned moisturising creme - I'm reminded of the 'cat oil' barter scene in The Book of Eli...

Salt for preserving and cooking, bulky but it would probably be worth more than its weight in gold when people realise how much it is used.

got agree with this. Place I work we often have smokers in who can’t smoke for the entire day. Some days for a couple of days and they are literally crawling the wall when they leave. A couple of days after TSHTF tobacco is going to be like gold dust.

Baby milk powder is a huge bartering item me thinks! Tampons and tampax would also be a worthy item for women who arent ready to adjust to a more 'natural' alternative, and possibly an unhygienic one too?

Well, that's certainly a comprehensive list - but by my reckoning you're gonna need a 10 acre plot to keep it all on? I'm not sure I'd have room for livestock, big dogs and a wagon and cart in my little house...
