As with the Bristol / North Somerset post, above, I thought that it may be useful, for the community, if we list shops in the areas that we live that sell prepping tools / materials etc. My aim is to list 'local' shops in the area and not necessarily national chains, such as Poundland, etc.
To start the ball rolling:
The 'Tool Shed':
http://www.toolshedlive.com/
Their shop at 1-5 Frankfort Gate has a section of tools priced at £1. Whilst some items are a bit cheap and nasty, I purchased some good quality tools (Draper) from this section, such as screwdrivers, gauges etc. Well worth a visit.
Useful shops - Plymouth area
Re: Useful shops - Plymouth area
Whilst you're there you may want to wander across the road 15 yards to https://www.facebook.com/buyitsellitplymouth and http://www.plymouthgunsandtackle.co.uk/ ... /_470489/1
Then there's knight's and Goulds for government surplus

I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Plymton,
Many thanks for that information.
Where is 'Knight's and Goulds'?
I have had a look in the other shop, in the past. There is some nice kit there.
Also, the market itself has some useful stalls.

Thanks for that. I like the look of Gould's (never knew that it was there!). I will call in there the next time I visit Plymouth, as they have some trousers that I have been after for ages, at a very reasonable price. Do they also sell surplus, or is it all new kit?
EDIT: Ignore my question - I have just noticed the 'Surplus' section on their website.
Re: Useful shops - Plymouth area
Gould do sell surplus boots definitely, most of the clothing looks new but other kit is surplus, it's a mix as you'd expect, years ago it was mainly surplus but they must have moved with the times.

Re: Useful shops - Plymouth area
There is an excellent shop in Plymouth called 'Pull the Trigger' - details at the URL, below:

Re: Useful shops - Plymouth area
You're welcome Mr R they were "buy it sell it" until last week and now selling off the second hand stuff for the survival/bushcraft/airgun/airsoft/ market he tells me he'd like to go the whole hog with new premises and be a full on firearm shop eventually

Re: Useful shops - Plymouth area
Coincidentally, Army Surplus 365 in Plymouth were telling me they plan to switch to the firearm/stalking market. He was chatting to me about lamps, torches and ammo.
I recently experienced Plymouth City centre so that's why I prep.
Re: Useful shops - Plymouth area
They're not in Plymouth they're in Saltash
it's over the border from here
Thanks for mentioning them though they are worth a look if I'm over that way.
