Thermoelectric Generator

Post by Leviathan »

Hey,
I'm thinking of picking up the Bio-lite camp stove. It looks pretty decent as a cooker (so it should for that price) and it can charge USB devices.
I have read a bit about the company and it also turns out that for every one purchased they will send one out to Africa for a village or family to use so it comes with Karma too 8-)

I think it looks like a decent bit of kit and a fine addition to my bug out bag but would like to get some feedback of anyone that has one of these.
Cheers

apparently you need to charge up the inner battery before you use it for the first time, so I don't know if that's the sort of thing that you can store for just in case or whether you have to carry on using it to make sure you can use it. That's my only real concern about the device. The fact that it has a built in air blower is a good thing though as that will increase the biogas/smoke burning that will do your cooking better hypothetically.

I havent got one, I have just read stuff about it and watched youtube video reviews.

Yeah true. i would be using the stove on dry runs and hunting trips so the bat should stay in good nick (hopefully)
Just wish there were more options for Thermoelectric Generators on the market!

From what i have seen there is barely any smoke when the fan is engaged and that's a big plus for me.

Thanks for the reply, I'm going to pick the thing up on the weekend and find out for myself.

Ill post my findings
