I've added a few titles since my first post on this subject

How to prepare for Emergency and survival books one and two and Survival Disaster and Tactical Medicine

More as reference books as I sure as heck won't be able to remember everything I have learnt over the years, and having the books to hand may well just save me when the chips are down.

Also got a couple of interesting ones

Back to the Garden, growing your own & cooking it to make a little go a long way

The Austerity book, classic tips for enjoying life inexpensively

Every book has useful bits and pieces , some better than others

And when you don't?

I have printed stuff off in the past, but it is ridiculously costly compared to having the book in my hand, and when it is a power out and the battery is flat? I have seen laptops on the net with a pull-cord that makes them work (bit like Free-play) but yet to see one that runs on diesel (unless through a generator)

Saving stuff down as .pdf is also a way around not having the physical copy, but still need power to access it.

And you can't light a fire with an internet connection, you can with a book

When I go sailing, I don't consult a manual every time I tack or gybe. I have the skills.

When SHTF or if SHTF, i hope that i will have the skills that I need.

So far I am doing brilliantly with what little I have, and soon i will be doing better.
