Is meeting up with other like minded peope a good idea ?

Hi i have been thinking about places that we can camp that are not far from home due to the kids being in school mon - friday and found some great camp sites that offer lots to do Shooting, Archery, Adventure Playground - basic playground free, scramble nets chargable, Pioneering and Orienteering but they do most of these activities for groups - so my question is what are the good and bad points that people can think of when meeting and spending time together with like minded people doing so of the above activites and how would it work thanks (sorry for the long post).

It depends in what you want from meeting others.

I have met with members several times now, mainly only for lunch in a pub but its been great to meet with like minded folk as well as putting user names to faces!

It's not been used as a 'training' event. But I have made some good contacts.

I'm agreeing with Su and giving a in general yes, and especially activities based because all you have to do is share the liking for the activity, prepping wise we are a varied bunch and for example the closest person to me who turned up here was a 15 minute walk away, and I didn't want to meet up, I didn't think we would get on
When it comes to activities, it takes a certain kind of person to spoil it, not so much a bad person but so poles apart in every other way, that you just grate with one another, but if you're easy going they can be hard to find bad enough to put you off going

depends where you are in the country, some like to meet up and some don't some can afford activity's some can't you can always put out feelers on the RV/ Group area and see who responds
