we each have a large rucksack that we got from Aldi filled with all sorts of stuff except clothes which i really need to sort out. I couldnt cope with more than one b.o.b. though. One size fits all for me (She says until she attempts to pick it up and actually carry it)

The dog has one too :!:

H
Do you use it currently or is it simply somewhere to BO to should the need arise?
I keep a regular careful close eye on it. It's secure though. It's purely as a BOL.

Its not a beach hut is it Hobo??!!

Red Doe, not too sure how the ferrocerium is reacting but am opting for one of those plastic slips you can get on brand new car keys to cover it or failing that black maskers!! A molle vest can be viewed here:

http://www.popularairsoft.com/news/brit ... molle-vest

Pouches can be customised and placed all over making use of the webbing straps sewn onto the vest in order to carry what you need and where you need it. Obviously anything in dpm or desert cam would look out of place but a tan or black one might not be too bad under a coat.... bit like your fishing vest. I personally have a black one that is being 'customised' for use!

I keep my flint and steel in a leather pouch, it`s been there a while and is fine, maybe try than in case something in the metal of the tins is affecting the flint?
A 5.11 Tactical vest is a bit like a fishing vest!

I have one and very useful.

Some times found on evilbay!

Pretty f***ed if a tsunami comes in thou!!  Shouldnt laugh really, but, on topic, its spacious enough and pretty good for someone to bolt to on the way home... close the door, kettle on. i have a box of supplies and resupplies stashed there.

The sand can get annoying thou if you dont keep on top of it!!

Yeah, I've found it useful practically, definitely heps to balance out a load front and back with access to the regular bits of kit without having to take your sack off or fill your pockets with clutter. Magazine pouches are obviously useless for its purpose but good for tobacco tin kits and the right size for a thermal mug!! With the range of pouches available, its easy to configure a vest which works for what you need. ;)

I don't want to open another new topic and will ask here.

What's the best place for rucksacks, not some designer gear but tough, reliable ones, preferably in olive green ;)
