That's really impressive, Frnc - well done you. I'm back to taking regular walks, maybe 5 days a week, plus gardening etc, but I need to hunt out my exercise DVDs - they'll help when I can't get out of the house.Frnc wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 8:15 amI think fitness is a big part of prepping, not that I'm super fit. I did go on a diet and start cycling, lost 3 stone (down to 11) and got a bit fitter. Not been out on the bike as much this year and my other exercises dwindled during the heat waves followed by a bad back for at least a month. Then you get out of the habit, a bit lazy. Just had to buy some new winter trousars actually, as the old ones were a bit too big now.

I'm sure you can understand our concerns. We have had two new members in the past few days, both of you saying practically the same thing; only interested in food and nutrition and no mention of emergency preparedness or why you are interested in it, one of you can't cook at all and doesn't want to learn, you have almost identical profile avatar which would be *highly* unlikely unless you are perhaps one and the same person or affiliated in some way.PhillipFrances wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 2:45 am Please be assured not planning on advertising any business here.

Really appreciate the warm welcome tho.
UK Preppers is NOT a food prep site. We are a community of like minded individuals who are interested in emergency preparedness and ensuring that we have the tools, the knowledge and the resilience to cope with emergencies. Nothing to do with ready meals or meal prep.

Good idea. I'm gonna try to get back into doing pullups (assisted by resistance bands) and light weights. And pushups etc. I fitted a pullup bar in a doorway, screws into the door frame. I did have one the you just wind out, but I was scared it was cracking the wall.Arzosah wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 8:37 amThat's really impressive, Frnc - well done you. Fitness is important. Having not been well,my health has slowed my exercise down. My work is physical if I am honest, and I certainly don’t need gym- type stuff or procedures! Gone great this last day or two ,by gently walking the dog.A gentle walk is great.Arzosah wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 8:37 amThat's really impressive, Frnc - well done you. In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Emergency preparedness is really good, looking forward to that.
I appreciate you for explaining, agreed this is concerning.

I seem to mess my routine with every seasonal change.
Plus the current seasonal change has already started ticking sounds in my legs, feel old lol.
Might start with some multi vitamins. Does any one else feel that too?
I've been inactive for sometime tho.

Healthy eating is always good idea, got sciatica myself and found yoga helps although with any new excersise regime especially with physical health problems probably best to proceed with caution and get proper medical advice before embarking on anything too strenuous, anyway welcome to the the forum and enjoy

Getting the food right can make a huge difference.
The detailed exclusion diet we all did a few years ago has impressed Mr GB's consultant and helped keep him out of a wheelchair while elder son has realisd a lot of his problems in the past have come down to undiagnosed food intolerances - especially to corn and all corn derivatives which makes buying toothpaste interesting among many other things.

I tried aerobics for sometime, felt it was really good. Didn't took much time, and you felt the burn after every session.Happyhatter wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 3:00 pm Healthy eating is always good idea, got sciatica myself and found yoga helps although with any new excersise regime especially with physical health problems probably best to proceed with caution and get proper medical advice before embarking on anything too strenuous, anyway welcome to the the forum and enjoy
