How did you get on with the twig shavings? I hope you found they work well :-)
I recently experienced Plymouth City centre so that's why I prep.

Genius! :idea: There's an old metal one at work that's too blunt after years of use hidden under the recent rubbish plastic purchases!! ....think its coming home with me tomorrow for a few rubs on a wet stone and ferreting away in the tinder tin!

thats a really great idea! I can see that being a life saver in many situations.

some carpenters sharpeners can be mounted into a drill too which would mean you could make a lot of shavings with ease and fast
