Incidentally, I was hunting out my stash of t shirts today, existing ones are getting a bit threadbare - and I came across an old hot water bottle, its at least 7 years old and very "crackly" - I wouldn't dare use it, its going straight in the bin

That usually after they finish the 3 day old festering mouse guts it rediscovered and got peckish
The one in the pic above spent the past 4 years living outside has now discovered little human is not annoying enough to avoid anymore to whilst stealing his warmth

Had a telescopic tree pruner in my Amazon basket for end of the month. Purchases on last day count as next month. Was nice to see they reduced it from £40 to £30 for me! I need to trim a massive ivy bush that stop the rain watering my anti-burglar bushes I re-planted after the first lot died in the drought. This will mean I won't have to water them probably until the spring. The ivy is out of control anyway, it's about 4 metres high and at least 4 metres wide. Was thinking of getting one or two books on knots soon. All I have in physical form is the little plastic cards by pro-knots, the general one and the fishing one. I have screenshots off knots websites, but they are not much use in grid down. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Of course I have learned a few and practice, not as much as I should. My top knot (no not samurai) is the Alpine Butterfly.

Just knots, not splicing. Not sure what ropework means. Just basic knots and a few fishing ones. The cards are pretty good but are obviously limited. Nice drawings or photos preferred.
I don’t know if this comes under prepping but I am compiling a list of warm spaces in the area I work in.
It’s mainly for pensioners and folk struggling, free soup, coffee and board games. It’s also not just for folk that are struggling to pay bills, there’s a social isolation part to it all as a lot of folk are on their own.
I was asking about a men’s shed but that’s not really a prepping issue.
