Hi Folks,

Many thanks for the encouraging replies. It's a great feeling knowing that I'm not alone in thinking this way.

Had a discussion at the weekend with a friend who knew nothing about prepping. Nothing heavy just an intro, bulk buying etc, and he surprised me by saying that he was thinking of doing the same thing. Only he didn't call it prepping.

Hope you are all well.

Lots of love

Doesn't matter what he calls it, he's thinking - that's a good thing!

I can't help wondering how many more people would be interested if the word 'prepping' wasn't used. I avoid it. As far as anyone else is concerned, it just makes sense, financially, for us to do as much as possible ourselves. And of course, if you grow stuff and have an excess, well, it make sense to preserve it, not throw it away. I find that I'm using the phrase ''I'm starting to think that food is a good investment, the way that prices are rising. At least I'll be able to afford to eat!''

"prepping" is more the media word to me, usually media make things sound bad (they prob prep too). anyways who cares what its called it make sense to do it, you can sleep better knowing you invested into yourself for the long term. if you get more people on board all the better. i explained it to my partner and dont think used the word prepping once. Didnt take much to get her on board after our experiences.

keep it up and keep track of ideas on lists, start slow and dont waste money and keep on here im learning so much from the people on here

Most people have the mindset that if they have a job it is because they worked hard for it, not because of the complex international forces that have made their company possible, their education possible an even their bank account and the way that it works possible.

Their mind set relies upon the idea that there are plenty of jobs out there that they can just get whenever they want and so if someone isn't doing all that well, its because they are lazy.

If they have the health to do their job, they assume that everyone else is just as health and therefore the disabled or sickly people are just being lazy.

So why does anyone listen to "most people" who are evidently a bunch of thick dumbasses with no brains or ability to see how the world works?
