I have to comment on my previous post. My family(three ladies) did not do camping well. No TV ,hair dryer, etc.
I love wild fishing. Basic camping kit and fishing tackle. Basic camping is a tarp,4season bag, wash kit,and trangia cook kit.
But the Girls do not like tents!
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Covid 19: After that level of weirdness ,any situation is certainly possible.

The ground is cold, often wet, always hard. Tents are cold, often wet, always full of things with lots of legs  YUKKK!

been camping once in my life about 3 years ago - bought a family size tent from Halford just for the trip. Was nice and sunny when we set out, but then rained all afternoon, evening and next morning. We decided to go home a day early and not stay all weekend cause it was due to continue to rain. Can't say I enjoyed the exprience - have a weak bladder and had to get up x3 in the dark to wander around in the rain to find the facilities block.

Would much rather spend the weekend in one of those big mobile home thingies / caravans, but my daughter wants to go camping again and for the last 2 summers I've put it off so this summer I have to go camping. Can't say I'm looking forward to it either

We camp once a year when we go to a festival, its ok. We keep it small and simple - good quality 3 man tent (for the 2 of us), insulated sleeping mats, good quality lightweight sleeping bags ......its never been below zero (cos its summer time) but it has been around 7 degrees C and our neigbours in their big tents have moaned about being cold where as we have actually been edging towards being too warm. Camping just for the fun of it isnt our bag.....think It would be a bit boring, I mean what do you do on camping trips??

Snooze, relax, read, talk, socialise, drink, eat, snooze some more. I love camping! Sites that let you have real fires are the best as you can sit round it, cook on it or just watch it. Some good friends and a coupla glasses and its my idea of heaven. Cant wait...
