I'm fixed until November but hate to think what it will be by then, And as I am about to retire my income will be rather limited & I know I will be running partly on savings/redundancy pay until the State pension kicks in or I can find a side gig.

EDF are actually offering 2 year fixes, where the unit rate for gas is cheaper than Standard Variable. So maybe have a look for that kind of thing.

Passed my Krav Maga Practioner level 5 the other week.

Also managed to source 5 SOG Seal Pup knives from the RQMS Dept at work. Now I know I can demand them, I'll demand more.

Just popped to the local pharmacy to pick up a prescription and some painkillers. Seems the national shortage continues. Out of Ibuprofen and limited paracetamol. Said they are having difficulty across the board now getting stuff. They are a small independent.

Advice was buy it when you can find it.

That is worrying. I always keep a healthy stock of ibuprofen and paracetamol but some of the medication Mr GB is on are a serious issue if he misses just one dose. Last month the pharmacist could only give him a half prescription and the rest a week later. I do hope it does not get any worse.

We are both on high blood medication, sadly different types, we have hawthorn extract capsules and
garlic pearls in stock to supplement the meds, should there be a problem with the prescriptions, and
we also have a copy of Andrew Chevalier’s Encyclopaedia of Herbal Medicine, just in case.

We also have the Andrew Chevalier encyclopedia. It is an excellent resource. Highly recommended.
