G'day

Post by Galen »

I moved here a few years back. In Oz, we have always been preppers without knowing it. Bushfires, floods and cyclones are common, so a plan and grab bag (you blokes call it a 'bugout' bag) have always been second nature. I taught bushcraft and survival back home and I'm going to start a few courses here.

G'day Junmist,

The yanks are obsessed with guns as a survival tool (the better alternative to guns are brains ;) ) ... if the SHTF there's are not going to be many of them left standing ... You blokes and sheilas here in old blighty have different problems, one is the staggering number of people on such a small island.

Here, I'd lean more toward staying put, rather than bugging out. The main problem is if you know a secluded little place, so do hundreds, if not thousands of other people.

I'd like to know other people's thoughts on this.

It's a cruel a world.

I agree, bugging out isn't on my radar to be honest exactly for that reason. Would only leave if there was absolutely no other way. So I won't be running for the (packed) hills nor screaming the end is high. :P
