Hello and welcome to the forum.

Tell us a little bit more about yourself and what you are prepping for.

Re: your other post. I have disapproved it as we cannot openly discuss the use of weapons in the UK. We can discuss our hobbies which may be archery, clay pigeon shooting, target shooting using an air rifle. We may in in clubs where we can practise our sport.

Everything we discuss on this forum has to be kept within the rules of our current legal system.

Okay no worrys. Trying to Prep for the unknown as you all now at the stage where the world stands anything can happen. Trying to collect togeather all I need to stay alive when the unknown happends. We all seen films like walking dead, survivors and jericho. Just wondering there should be a topic which people can state where there from so when shit hits the fan we will know where others are so we can stick togeather. Currantly working on some bug out location to move too.

Those are all great fictional programmes and worse case scenarios. What is the likelyhood of those scenarios happening in the UK. You are more likely to see flooding, disruption due to bad weather, loss of employment, etc.
You will find many of us in here prep for those type of scenarios (but maybe keep those zombie apocolypse things at the back of our minds :tinfoil ).

As regards stating where we are from you will find many of us think about OPSEC. That's is not telling people exactly where we are, keeping our preps to ourselves. Some of us have been members on this forum (and the one previous) for many years and still haven't met face to face. That's just the way preppers are!

Where are you planning to bug out to? The UK is a small place and if lots of people decided to bug out to the nearest woodland it would be rather crowded.
What scenario would make you bug out?

I think maybe you need to think about what you are prepping for a little bit more realistically and then plan around that. Have a bit more of a read in the forum and you'll gain lots ore information.

Hi Patrick,
that is a wide range of scenarios in those films. I am of the opinion that prepping for whatever will ultimately serve you well. So if we get an inch of snow and the country grinds to a halt, the tanker drivers threaten to strike, George Osbore gets caught with his fingers in the till, you have cover in place. I will not be building a fall out shelter as the water table here is high.

regards
