New prepper in the making

Post by Roadkill »

Hello all, Been reading about prepping since this ebola has been on the news, it has made me quite nervous and thought it was about time to get prepared for things like this. I have no clue where to start yet but i'm sure you good people could point me in the right direction.

What would be the first thing to stock up on or put in place?

many thanks all and can't wait to learn the art of prepping

Hello and welcome.

Before you start try having a read of the Sticky. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=817

Learn how to use the search function, magnifying glass top right, and just search for the topic you're interested in, there's already been a lot of discussion on a hell of a lot of topics and if you've got questions they may well have been asked and answered before.

This Ebola epidemic has certainly got a lot of people thinking recently, the only good thing to come out of it, but don't ignore other potential scenarios.

I should of looked at this a few years ago but have always plodded on now with this ebola thing all over the news it got me thinking, I know that the media are over reacting a little as just round the corner is the winter flu which kills thousands and we never see that on the news much. But at least its kick startedmy prepping interest.

I'm going to start with water, food and maybe grab an old cb then will be looking more into it and maybe make a bug out bag and build up on some other kit.

is there many people round the leicester area who are contactable via cb radios?
