Has anyone tried using red alganate bags? The idea is that you bag up the contaminated clothing or bedding and then the whole thing bag and all goes into the washing machine.
Might be useful to minimise spreading whatever nasties may have made you ill in the first place.

They look like red bin bags but the side seams disintegrate in the washing machine. They're used in care homes hospitals etc.

Thanks cumbrianish! There's always something new to learn
I can certainly see a use for those: I wouldn't want to use them if there were solids, shall we say, that needed flushing away first, but they definitely sound useful. I'll have a look round that site too.
