Hi from the South East

Post by NBC_UK_PREPPER »

I just wanted to say hello and let you know a bit about me. As a kid in the 80’s I grew up with the cold war, we had an early warning system installed under the stairs, the hand held siren and all the other stuff. My father was in the emergency services, like myself now and I think he instilled in me a lot of knowledge.

I spent my time as a kid out camping, exploring rural area’s, learning skills with fire starting and using knife’s, knots etc. I then started collecting miltaria at about 10 or 11 medals at first and then Gas Masks and larger items which I would buy and sell. I managed to buy examples of most, except for WW1 ones. I then got given a handbook one day called the NBC Handbook, it listed everything from protection to agent types for biological and chemical weapons, fall out shelters and first aid etc.

This and the first edition of the SAS survival handbook became my “bible”. I was fascinated with all of it.
Puberty hit, and my interests then went……Elsewhere…. I still bought items but focused on re-selling.
When 9/11 happened I started selling NBC and CBRN suits in bulk, along with the S10’s and S6’s. I set up my own bug out kit for myself and set up with my father bug in stuff at home. We set up food stores and re-evaluated our plans.

I have recently got back into prepping, I don’t think it ever goes away, you just update and re-risk assess. I’m looking to join in on the forums and chat to people, read articles and more. I do also have some items I wish to sell that I will post if that’s ok, but I’m also looking to buy items and network in my local area.

I don’t think you can ever prep for everything, but that preps and plans can be changed and the important thing is to think with any situation – “What happens afterwards?”…..So as long as you have a plan for something, you will be one step ahead of those who have no plan.

Be under no doubt, society will very quickly break down, control will not be maintained.

Hope to chat to some of you soon :D

Hello and welcome to the forum. Have a look around and chip in as you feel.
One thing though, if you could refrain from advertising goods for sale until you have made your first ten posts please. Then contact the moderation team through the general chat section.

Hello,

Thank you very much, I'm primarily a prepper so that's not a problem at all, I apologise if it came across the wrong way. Looking forward to being an active member of this forum, lots to learn and hopefully share some of my knowledge too.
