Went on a Foundation licence course this weekend.
You do the exam at the end and they are allowed to look at your answers and give an "indicative mark". This is confirmed in about 10 days.
Anyway according to the indicative check I passed.
The funny thing on my course is they do the Morse assessment first because they have found every one is so scared of it. All it consists of is sitting down and listening to the instructor sends a slow message. you right down the dots and dashes. You have a crib sheet provided that lets you convert that to a message. You then are given a message which you are allowed to write out using the crib sheet as dots and dashes, you then have to send the message. They repeat until you get it right. A bit fiddly to do but not bad at all.There are a few practical assessments which again on this course were well supported.
The "quiz" ( ie exam) is a lot of common sense and everything is in the "Foundation Now" book.
Any way should get call-sign in a about 2-3 weeks and decide if I want to the intermediate licence. That means using a soldering iron and making a project.
If anyone is worried about trying don't. This course has helped an 8 yr old pass and a 88 yr old with poor eyesight pass. You do not need to be a wizard at science or tech work.
