Hello, I'm from Portsmouth Hampshire, and I'm really struggling to find myself a decent BOL, has anyone got and advice, or know of somewhere that could be good, would really appreciate it.

OK, a few more details might help here.
What do you think you're most likely to be bugging out from ?
How far do you think you'll need to B-O to be out of the disaster zone?
How are you planning on living once bugged out?
And, most importantly, whats your budget ?

It all depends. As ForgeCorvus has said there are quite a few factors to consider before we can advise you.

Ideally use a tool such as Google Maps/Earth to satellite scout your local area within a 5 miles radius and see if there is anything that appears to be secluded enough to be an initial BOL.

In England bugging out is really going to be one of two things: 1) a temporary rest stop measure to a hotel or relatives 2) completely out of the country

The thing is, when some people say "BOL" they mean "Some place I can get away with squatting on"
and whats to stop the next guy from coming along and turfing you off it?
Its also a bit of a legal minefield

On one of the other prepping sites I go on somebody posted a set of BOL Rules.
The ones I can remember are:

1. You should own (or legally control) your BOL, and have a right to be there
2. You must be able to get yourself and the rest of your group to your BOL
3. You must be able to live on your BOL (either on stores or resources)

what about getting a flat/house on the Isle of White, its not perfect but it puts some degree of water between you and the rest of the mainland.

To be honest when shtf i dont think if i own the land or not is going to matter, i can get all my group there, both my parents have big 4x4 and living wouldnt be a problem, what ive been looking for is like an island on a river or in a lake.

My first thought would be how do you plan to get out of Portsmouth? If we assume you are in the pocket shaped part of the city then you really only have one way out by road and that's north and I would expect all routes north across the bridges will be choked and it will only get worse when you get to the A27. If it were me and I'd decided it was time to get out, I'd be thinking how I get away from the SHTF situation and away from these overcrowded routes. A bike for on land then if you're compromised by crossing water then a decent rubber boat will allow you to cross to go north or give you and option to head east to Hayling then Wittering. Have you got exit routes with alternate routes planned?

Im on the outskirts of portsmouth, so i have lots of diffeerent ways to get out, and i have many routes planned incase of some failed attempts. But i also plan to wait as long as i can so as not to get stuck in all th mayhem, i have ways af baracading up my house that will allow me to defend it for sometime, just want a BOL incase worst comes to worst.

I think you will struggle to find somewhere that nobody else wants to go or where nobody else will be there before you. What do you do if you get to your location and it's already got a couple of families on there? Any where desirable will soon be full of people, don't forget just how crowded Portsmouth is, worse still in summer. Maybe a solid lockup locally would do as a rally point and place to stash some supplies.
