I live in South East Kent,we home educate our children and wish to learn what we can from this forum and the members here.

Hi itsybitsy, I suppose it is something I grew up with, my mother's family came from Cossack lands in the East of the Ukraine and the storing of several months food is a norm , a habit which I continued, also a sense of self reliance is also taught to the children among other life skills which are regarded as anarchic in a modern society.

I've a few friends that either home teach their kids or are seriously considering doing so.

Yep, much of what is sensible to do is deemed as anarchic as you rightly say.
