Hi,
I am a new member here. I actually live in Denmark, but as I cannot find anyone else prepping (besides my daughter), I joined your forum. I have a tiny house on an allotment, where I'm allowed to live from late March to late October, there is water and electricity, and that is where I do most of my prepping. I grow veggies and berries, and have one apple tree so far (more fruit trees on the way). It is wonderful to be in the countryside in summer, the allotment is squashed between a farm and a golf course, and it is closer to my work. I haven't got a car, but ride a bike (year round) and use a huge bike trailer for hauling the big stuff. My dream is to get an electric tricycle, so that I don't slip and slide so much in winter, but as the cheapest one I can find is about £800, that will have to wait awhile.
I bottle, dehydrate, sew, some knitting,
A few plans are, to make a passive solar heater, a solar dehydrator, a 4000lt water harvester. All this takes a time, but I have learnt a lot during the 2 seasons I have had the tiny house/allotment.
The allotment is owned by the council, and the house I own. In the old days, they were established for people from the inner cities to be able to get out of town during the summers and grow their own food.
bye Jean

Hello Jean,
Good to have you here! I had just been talking with my children over breakfast about living out of England - somewhere with less people! Denmark and Norway was suggested!!

Hi Jean ! If you look west you'll see me on a Scottish hill, gimme a wave ! I don't know anything at all about Denmark I am sorry to say. Except that it's a lot flatter than we are
I would like to know more about what you grow on the allotment, if you could post that in the food & growing forum that would be kind
