Get out quicker on a micro scooter?
Get out quicker on a micro scooter?
I've noticed that there are a lot more adults using those micro scooters to and from the train station lately, after a bit of researching I've seen them on Decathlon site and Hakfords for under £70 and there are cheaper or more expensive styles out there, some eveb have battery power!! A big plus is that you can get ones that fold in half and can either be pulled along as a trolley or you can get a bag for them to sling over your shoulder. Good reviews on a few of them and I thought in an emergency you could scoot away quicker than you could run... Stashed in a car boot in case you needed to abandon the car... Does anyone have one of these and are they as good as they look?

I have to warn you, in a world without rule of law, adults on micro-scooters will be the first to the wall. If you're over 12, you shouldn't be on one

A goped would be a quicker thing, not sure what the battery range of the electric one's is but gopeds are 2 strokes so you just need petrol and a little oil for a refuel on the go.

I have one in my boot in case of car trouble, major traffic jams or road closures. I think it would take a lot for me to use it, but it's there!

Under normal circumstances I would agree with you both, and as I say it would take a lot for me to use it (the shame!)Deeps wrote:featherstick wrote:I have to warn you, in a world without rule of law, adults on micro-scooters will be the first to the wall. If you're over 12, you shouldn't be on one
It belonged to me when I was but a young 'un, but on a recent visit to my parents house I found that they were throwing it out and I couldn't let it go to waste! After a quick scoot round the garden my mind was made up, it's lived in my boot ever since . You lot may laugh now, but I reckon I'll be the one laughing when I'm zooming down the hard shoulder, with the wind in my hair, powered by only one foot
