Solar charger was spot on when i was in tenariffe (got one last year) but takes about 3-4 days of british summer sun to charge....
on saying that if you have a old none smart phone it should just about be a good stop gap seen as the stand by on the old phones was about a week ....

The lantern also have a usb charging point. And works also with cranking .
