WaterBOB

Post by whenfires »

Just taken delivery of a Waterbob (basically a big plastic bag you put in the bath to hold 100G of water in an emergency) from Amazon UK as it seemed a useful item to keep in reserve. The price was a bit steep at £36.99 compared to $22.95 on Amazon US but isn't that always the way?

Has anyone actually used one?

There have been other threads about these, looks like the price has finaly come down since last i looked.

you could just fill the bath, but this stops nasties getting in and you dont need to cover it, great idea.

As munchh said, this keeps the nasties out. You could fill the bath for a short period of time but when would you stop drinking it without boiling/filtering?

The waterBOB, supposedly at least, keep water fresh for up to 12 weeks.

About filling the bath - its a rare plughole that'll keep the water in for days! Mind you, if you don't have a waterbob, then fill the bath anyway, and scoop water out into any spare containers you've got, refill the bath until the water stops flowing - means you've got as much on hand as possible.
